And here are the programs that have increased their "outstanding athletics debt" the most over the last 6 years (Amount of new debt; public schools only):

SDSU $308M
Penn St $114M
Arizona St $103M
Ohio St $96M
Florida $69M
Auburn $68M
Georgia Tech $62M
So. Alabama $59M
Utah $53M
Houston $50M

However, Cal still reigns supreme in total outstanding athletics debt, for at least the last 6 yrs running, staying between $435M-$440M every year.

Outstanding Athletics Debt 2022-23 (All FBS public schools per Sportico)

101📷Wyoming$0
102📷Buffalo$0
103📷New Mexico State$0
104📷Arkansas State$0
105📷Ball State$0
106📷Bowling Green$0
107📷San Jose State$0
108📷Georgia State$0
109📷Northern Illinois$0
Total$9,896,661,765
Average$90,795,062
I find it pretty amazing that these schools' athletic departments have ZERO outstanding debt in this current crazy arms race environment with facilities construction, coaching salaries, etc. Granted, they are not the biggest schools, but they are still FBS level. Maybe they are just not reporting their debt?

So, now college players are making more than most of the coaching staff. Not good at all.

we've been over this many times and even contacted the legislature to confirm k-state athletics has not taken tax dollars like given to ku athletics by gov. kelly. this only confirms what we already knew and seems like a little dig at both the governor and ku. i'm sure the next big k-state project a.d. taylor and pres. linton will be walking the halls of topeka with their hands way out, likely for a complete renovation of bramlage? ;-)

Happy birthday to Chris Berman.

One of our original 79ers - and the longest-tenured on-air personality at ESPN, Boomer remains a signature voice in our #NFL coverage now 45 years later. A Hall of Famer.

Boomer never has been much of a College guy. He has been one of the few constants at ESPN.

Since you brought up ESPN, the difference between ESPN and TNT on NBA coverage is night and day. TNT is fun and enjoyable. ESPN is dark and depressing.
