I wish nothing but the best for Big Art.

I hope he gets honest sincere counsel on the chances of getting a NBA or G League contract.

barry brown and others declared as juniors, got feedback, and came back their senior years.

Yep. That would be a wise choice for Art.

Nowhere have I found where Kaluma said he plans to maintain is college eligibility.
It looks like it's NBA or bust.
The NBA is prejudice towards older players.

Good luck to him with that, he's going to need it. I'm just not seeing it. If you aren't anywhere near dominant in your college conference play, how in the world can he make it in the NBA or G league? His best bet is to get a college degree. I hope it pays off for him for his sake. Just not seeing it.

I’ve seen several who I didn’t think were nba potential make it onto a roster and have a nice role. Right now Braun from ku is doing that. I wouldn’t have guessed he’d actually get drafted or managed to stick but he’s done both and he was no where close to dominant in college. Just a nice role player for ku.

I also would have never thought Reeves who started at WSU and then went to OU would be an NBA player, but he’s made a name for himself. Kaluma has a lot of potential. To me he just doesn’t seem to stay locked in and engaged the entire time he’s on the floor. If he takes his intensity up a level I think he can definitely find a spot.

This may also explain the Battle recruitment. He’s a scorer and if we lose Kaluma that’s 16 points a game gone. But it makes the addition of some gifted bigs even move crucial.

I had convinced myself that he would stay.
I hope Coach Tang keeps this scholarship open to find some pretty good player. Johnson and Kaluma were both late additions.
In May there will be some kids that declared for the draft decide to return to college basketball. Although, with the mass coaching changes, there is going to be a lot of competition for remaining players.
