Trump threatening to pull FEMA from Puerto Rico

Trump is still a slave to his insecurities and psychosis that it doesn't matter how many lives are at stake. San Juan's mayor criticized him, so he's going to pull FEMA out in retribution. Children will starve, which will upset San Juan's mayor, which will make Trump happy.

That would warrant a bill of impeachment.

I will defend him saying that it's up to Congress to decide how much money to allocate. He should be a leader and be demanding that they get off their collective asses and do something. Big year for disaster relief, Harvey in Texas and Louisiana, Irma in Florida and Georgia, Maria in PR and the wildfires out west. Without spending a second in any of those areas, I'd say our relief workers do a helluva job.

So, I read the whole article not just the headline. He stated..." We cant stay there forever and Puerto Rico needs to shoulder some responsibility." Appears to me that is a valid statement and a fact of life.

Puerto Rico's infrastructure was a disaster before the hurricane and the country is almost bankrupt so it will take a major, long time effort to get them anywhere close to 'normal'.

We are sending billions there along with billions for all the other disasters. Heckuva year.

More fake posting....your assessment that it will make Trump happy if children will starve. Fake...fake...fake. Rather sad. Keep disliking Trump.

He's easy to dislike. He's the most inept president in my life time. And an ass.

By the way it is correct that it's up to Congress to allocate funds but it is the job of the president to make sure the various agencies are working together and it is obvious they are not. As an example we have a hospital ship in the harbor that has 8 patients as of 2 hours ago. WTF. The man needs to quit tweeting and get off of his fat ass and get to work.

After Greensburg was wiped out by a tornado, the state and federal government helped to rebuild it from the ground up. There was no complaining, threats, or other insinuations. There was a job and it was done.

Keep in mind that Trump told Texas that they would be there as long as needed. Then told Puerto Rico three weeks after being flattened that they "can't stay there forever". You don't make a statement like that if you mean a year or so from now. He's wanting to pull out now, as retribution for critical comments about the response.

So you're agreeing with 98 that Trump is happy for children to starve in P.R.? That was 98's summary.

You might ask yourself who was the party publicly "complaining" first...Trump or the Mayor of San Juan (per google the Mayor of San Juan is a democrat)? Should Trump do his tweeting, no.
