I am starting to become impressed with his recruiting. I hope we can hang on to these guys and actually sign them, unlike the Edwards kid.
This always is a concern. Keeping them from leaving after a few years to the portal to get rich is another concern.

“I chose Kansas State because there is an opportunity to come in as a freshman and earn meaningful playing time, be a part of a great situation, and help elevate this program in search of a National Championship early,” Jones said to On3.

Honestly, I think we’ll hang to these guys, due to the culture that Tang and his coaches are putting in place. I am more worried about other programs eventually coming after our coaches.

I am impressed but I have always been the type that doesn't count my chickens before the eggs hatch. Getting these guys signed is still a tricky situation and then he needs to show us he can coach. So far so good!

DJ Johnson called this kid a beast. Said we need him. K State offered soon after. He plans to visit in September. Listed as warm on 247. 6-7 small forward
Snippet from Chicago Sun Times
. Macaleab Rich, 6-6, East St. Louis

A physical specimen at the high school level with elite athleticism and explosiveness off the floor. He’s been productive throughout his high school career and has blossomed this summer, showcasing a bruising game with more skill and finesse than originally given credit for. As a result, high-major programs are lining up.

Not sure how well they know each other, but RJ Jones mentioned right after he committed that he was going to help recruit Macaleab to K-State.

Macaleab Rich plans to commit on Sept 26th. He visits K-State on Sept 10th. This is what he says about K-State:

Kansas State: “They’re a nice program that loves my game. They say I could be a huge pick-up for the team because they like my style of play and how I play fits them so perfectly. I talk with coach (Jerome) Tang and coach Jareem (Dowling). My visit with them is September 10.”
