Recruiting in the expanded conference?
Will adding AU, ASU, UU, and CU to the B12 make it easier or harder to recruit for KSU in all sports?

It probably depends on several factors, but one advantage is that it might help our recruiting out West. If we are recruiting a kid out of Arizona or Colorado, they know that K-State will be playing in those states so that their families can come see them easier. Also, with the Big 12 becoming a national conference, it gives the Big 12 more visibility. The Big 12 footprint will be in lots of large media markets. That should help all schools with recruiting. In addition, the Big 12's basketball brand is very strong so that will help, too. Arizona gives us another great basketball brand.
I think our bigger struggle will be recruiting against the Big Ten and SEC schools. ESPN and Fox are giving the lion's share of the $$$ and most of the primo TV time slots to those two conferences. Schools in those conferences can also pay more money to get the best coaches and in turn, the best players. Of course, right now the SEC and Big Ten are in the process of rigging the playoffs so that they get the most automatic and at-large bids as well as keeping WAY more CFP money than everyone else. I'm glad we have Yormark leading the conference through these difficult times.

Ben Sinnott was a walk on. What do I mean? There are a ton of overlooked, high quality, athletes out there, especially in Texas, Florida, New Mexico,
Utah and Arizona. There is that "I wanna play in the SEC or the Big10" thing, but the days of the Huskers hoarding scholarship players are over and there only so many slots available on those teams. Interest in football is still growing and all it will take is a Big12 team making a run in the playoff. It also helps that you have more sports pundits throwing shade on the SEC and the Big10 for 'ruining college football' with all their maneuvering, and I think that aspect is going to get louder when Big12 teams get in slugfests with the upper level 'power 2 teams." Those who get overlooked by the Power 2 will be happy to get the opportunity to play in the Big12.
