I am wondering if UConn might win it all next year. They have a heck of an offensive system. No wasted movement by anyone and each movement has a purpose. Man to man defense doesn't seem to work. The UConn defense is pretty darn effective. I think that with the portal Hurley will reload with comparable to what he loses. Some Kentucky doofers really think he is going to leave UConn for Lexington
Their offense looks good because of the skill and physical attributes lolof their players. Three big guards and a 6ft 8 forward that space the floor and make open threes. Three big guards that can drive and finish over help.
A big guy that can make a three and finish inside shots if drivers pitch to him.

I thought it fun to watch two skilled bigs get after each other. The traditional posts have taken a back seat recently to those 'stretch 4s' that hang out around the three point line. Skilled bigs can take you to the championship game because stretch 4s just aren't physical enough to guard them.

One could say Hurley and UConn did a "Rope A Dope" on Purdue. They allowed Edey to have his way until he got tired. Then they took over.
Last year I really was in a Purple Haze. I thought we could beat Florida Atlantic. After that then I looked and said Oh we can beat Long Beach. After that I really did not appreciate UConn like I should have, because they would have rolled us.

I was in that boat with you, haze-wise. Hurley has done a helluva job at UConn, and he's done it without the one-and-done portal guys. Continuity is key, with coaching staff and players, and it is better not having to retool the whole roster year after year.

The Caitlyn Clark effect? Regardless, it's good to see college women's basketball gain in popularity.

Clark has been a great story for college basketball, men or women. Hope the Lady Cats (that's what I've always called them, no disrespect intended) can reload with Lee coming back and make a run next year. Maybe they can add a good portal transfer or two to add some impact players.

Looks like Drew is going to Kentucky
Have you seen some breaking news about that? I haven't found anything beyond speculation at this point.

I can't find any person corroborating this chatter on Twitter..
