Glover is gone.
Yep. He entered the portal a couple days before Ames. I was not surprised at Glover entering the portal, but I was a little surprised with Ames.

Tang was not satisfied with the outcome last year.
I don't think it sat to well in Tang’s gut.
He was irked that his team's wins were devalued by Tournament selectors because they were close wins.
So his bottom line is to get the players that give him the best chance for sufficient and quality (butt stomping) wins.
Butt kissing and coddling players is secondary.

Assuming Khalif Battle joins the team, we will be fine. I assume that we will run a 3 guard offense. Pt guards will be McDaniel and Castillo. Attack guards will be Jones, Battle and Jones. Then throw in Hausen for hot juice.

What about scoring from the post? DNG will get plenty of boards, and be fairly effective on the defensive end
But can David give us more than say 10 points a game on the regular? We'll need at least 2-3 more Big Men or we'll be playing small ball most of the game next season.

Waiting on Omoruyi, Miller, and Battle is agonizing

Totally agree, SCKSCat! I think if we land Omoruyi, we will be in good shape on Miller, unless someone else turns his head before that. I don't know why Battle hasn't pulled the trigger. Pundits seem to think we are in good shape on him.

Alabama is favored to land Ugonna Onyenso, former Kentucky center. He will have 2 years of eligibility.
This might help in landing Clifford Omoruyi. Alabama is considered to be a serious suitor along with K State. And now UNC.
UNC collective is kind of puny, but a big sugar person could pony up a deal if UNC wants Omoruyi.

Man, I'm glad I'm not that emotionally involved in the recruiting process.

According to Joe Tipton, Clifford Omoruyi will visit UNC on Thursday. This will be his last visit. UNC social media sites and pundits all believe he is going to UNC. One site went out of the way to disparage Tang as it had a clip showing hin Wabashing in 3x speed. It does look funny like what kind of hooch did Tang drink. At least there is a finality. Hopefully Tang has a good plan B if Omoruyi goes somewhere else.

Things like that can also backfire, especially if he and Coach Tang hit it off. I don't know anything about UNC's situation. Are they in dire need of a big man?

If we can land Omoruyi, that would be great. But now that Baye has committed to us, our need for a talented center isn't as dire. I imagine we will sign at least one more center since we lost two of them from last season.

Joe Tipton is reporting Arthur Kaluma has entered his name in the portal to keep options open. Hopefully, he would give us another look if he decides to return and we have a scholarships available.

Doesn't sound like he is whole hog or bust* for the NBA.

*means someone is all in for something, and is pursuing it to an end no matter what, even if they fail trying.
