We have been tied to Mark Mitchell from Duke. Former Bishop Miege player. I coached against him 4 years ago. Would give us a solid 12pts/7 rebound guy with decent size.

According to a tweet from Derek Young we are not actively recruiting Mitchell. Don’t know why but that is what he posted.

That's interesting. Jason Scheer, who predicted Arizona and the other Four Corners schools to the Big 12 (when others doubted) seems to think its likely that Mitchell will be coming to K-State.

Hmm. I wonder why it is still up at the K-State 247 Site? I can't imagine the staff not recruiting a kid from KC, who transferred from Duke, unless Mitchell has his narrowed list of schools already.

ETA: I found this story on EMAW Online. It wasn't behind a paywall. Mitchell is briefly mentioned in the story, along with other players on the K-State coaches' radar.

The portal is going to get ugly with big name programs looking for lots of players. Kentucky, Arkansas, USC and such. Glad we got McDaniel early.

interestingly, klieman said that k-state's nil is sufficient enough now not to worry about players being bought by others. that ours is used for retention.

Do Escalades really cost that much? I knew they were expensive, but I thought they were more like $100,000. That's crazy money for a car.
