I hope the fact that we never seriously went after Mitchell means the likelihood of Kaluma returning is good. I'm still a little confused as to why Jason Scheer had a Crystal Ball prediction of Mitchell coming here in the first place. Were Mitchell's handlers possibly putting out false information to get more money out of other potential suitors like Mizzou?xtrawildcat wrote: ↑April 19th, 2024, 4:49 pmMitchell is really good. Every bit as good as Kaluma.
Ranked. Number 15 among portal players.
Shot 35% from three as a freshman. Started this year in a terrible slump from three. But finished the year out 10 for 18 from three.
Shot 41% from three in conference play both years.
Low volume so it remains to be seen how good he will be from three. But he is an above the rim forward who takes care of the ball and scores efficiently. Really good rebounder and defender.

All of these kids are taking on agents who get a % of the NIL take. I am sure there are scum agents doing this kind of stuff. I saw something like this for Baba Miller. The other ploy is a player listing programs that have contacted them or that are interested in them. Another seems to be scheduling visits the player likely will never attend like what happened with Ballo. When this cycle is over, I see an outcry for change.stlcatfan wrote: ↑April 19th, 2024, 6:09 pmI hope the fact that we never seriously went after Mitchell means the likelihood of Kaluma returning is good. Sure there will be an outcry, but it'll fall on deaf ears, because the NCAA is ran by greedy idiots, and us fans have zero leverage because we don't stand together. I keep getting hit up for the NIL collective... Never will I participate. Enough is enough. I love KSU, but my bank account has had enough through the years of giving and I've decided my retirement savings, grandkids 529's, and trying to manage inflation is gonna be my priority.SCKSCat wrote: ↑April 19th, 2024, 7:13 pmAll of these kids are taking on agents who get a % of the NIL take. We had 12 scholarship players last year. Traymont got Tomlin's remaining scholarship. His scholarship is available.
McNair and Perry ran out of eligibility. 2 more available.
Finister, Carter and Colbert went in the portal. 3 more.
We have used 2 available scholarships for Dug McDaniel and Jones.
I may have miscalculated.
We can have 13 scholarship players, and 2 free or NIL paid walkons.

From this Twitter post by Brendan Hausen, I think he really wants to be a Wildcat.
I thinking our coaches have found a sleeper.
