The Rams were my team as a kid and Roman was the QB. He could throw the bomb but had his share of INTs. Johnny U and the Baltimore Colts often got the best of him in the playoffs. He played with the fearsome foursome. Lamar Lundy, Deacon Jones, Merlin Olson and Bob Brown. Later Phil Olson joined the group at the other DT spot opposite of his brother. Several Rams were in the movies both during and after their NFL careers, notably Merlin Olson, Rosey Greer, and Gabriel. There were others. Roman sometimes played the part of native Americans. Not sure of his heritage. RIP Roman Gabriel. You were a cool guy.
