Re: Matt Wells
This is a repeat point - Darren Sproles said after the draft that historically the Cowboys have not demonstrated how to use a player like Deuce. He predicted that they would not use him correctly.
If the Cowboys attempt to adapt "The Patriot Way" that is not good news for Deuce. The Patriots emphasized power precision running between the tackles.

Josh McDaniels used RBs in the passing game often. James White, backup RB in 2019, had 67 rushes and 72 receptions. Many other examples if you go back further.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑January 15th, 2024, 7:45 pmThis is a repeat point - Darren Sproles said after the draft that historically the Cowboys have not demonstrated how to use a player like Deuce. Dallas really doesn't need Deuce outside of someone getting injured as the other two backs are better than he is. I have a feeling though Deuce would be third string on most teams. He will probably have a journey man career.

SF would turn him into a "receiver" and he would have 1000 yards, but 950 of them would be after the catch.
I don't know he would be pretty short for a receiver. It would be pretty risky for NFL teams to put him out there as a receiver when they could just find someone three or four inches taller than Deuce who would be just as good as a slot receiver.bahweepgronnaweep wrote: ↑January 15th, 2024, 9:08 pmSF would turn him into a "receiver" and he would have 1000 yards, but 950 of them would be after the catch.

Sproles was a little quicker on his feet than Deuce is.ToledoCat#3 wrote: ↑January 15th, 2024, 11:39 pmThe pros found a way to utilize Sproles. They could find a way to utilize Vaughn.
