You should trademark that "Goff's Goof"WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑May 2nd, 2024, 12:45 pmThis article is bringing up the issue the Athletic Department just sidesteps - Parking. I have to believe one of the main reasons they cannot get investors in the 500,000 sq ft Convention Center is there are limited parking spaces for customers, not to mention employees.tmcats wrote: ↑May 1st, 2024, 3:44 pmlooks like there's some down river trepidation over da booth.
The Booth’s boost remains a bust, the destruction left in its wake serving as an embodiment of the misplaced priorities of the University.

Goff's Goof is going to be a financial issue for KU for the next 20 years.

I know I am Mr Negative, but I still do not know where people are going to park for their 500,000 square feet convention center.
It appears they have construction going almost all the way to the street.

You park around town and rent a city bicycle or hire a Guber driver to get you to the stadium.WildcatEngineer wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 10:06 pm---------tmcats wrote: ↑May 3rd, 2024, 3:53 pmhere's their booth stadium construction live feed ...

Maybe they can ride the big blue buses.
The University of Kansas is a testament to poor planning.

Whew! We can relax now. KU is NOT going to the SEC. I was worried there for a .....never.

I really haven't kept up with the story. I thought some sports writer floated a rumor about KU going to the SEC because the SEC was looking to upgrade basketball. Has there been an update to the story, denying that?

If they can be competitive in football for a decade they may have a chance, IMO.

ku going to the sec or b10 would not surprise me one iota, nor would them not. this is a crazy time driven by greed and shortsightedness, but mostly media companies. if offered, i would not blame them for going because k-state would do the same thing in a millisecond. it's "all about me" presently with no allegiance to anything beyond the balance sheet - certainly not to the conference.
a total lack of leadership on so many levels. irritating to watch what we have helped build and cherished for decades implode in a matter of a few years. some of worst actors in this play: the ncaa intuitionally, mark emmertt's lack of leadership, university of texas arrogance dating back to nebraska leaving, greg sankey hubris.
