I would actually be shocked if Prime has even watched any film of the teams he will play next year.
he has a couple studs, his son and the defensive back, travis hunter, but beyond that cu is weak sauce built on his reputation not good football fundamentals. if they win five b12 games this season i'll be surprised. i certainly don't see them in the top half which would be for me:

utah, k-state, oSu, uofa, and isu, ku, ucf, wvu.

“We’ve been looking at something that’s large enough that it gives everybody a chance to compete, and that does translate into about 70 schools,” Syverud said. “That also creates content that’s more valuable so that it generates the resources to do more things that the university presidents think are important for college sports. It is not the case that the money to do what’s right for our college athletes in football is just going to emerge from nowhere. Somehow it has to be generated. That’s what we are trying to figure out, as well.”

... The SEC and the Big Ten have formed their own coalition focusing on the future of college sports.

Regardless of who is behind it, Syverud believes someone is going to have to chart a new path forward for college sports.

Said Syverud: “The current model for governing and managing college athletics is dead.”

the ncaa just reacts to everything nowadays. they do nothing proactively and thus are doomed as noted in the above post by syracuse's president.

The NCAA’s Division I Council unanimously approved new transfer rules Wednesday that will allow all undergraduate athletes to transfer schools and play immediately regardless of how many times they've transferred schools in the past.

Utah closed out the 2023 season with a 23-17 win against Colorado. I'm guessing they win five games this season. Last season win against TCU got the hype train going, but in reality TCU sucked rather badly.

TCU had the misfortune of being the first to play the Primetime Buffs. When CU played good teams that had some tape on them, they lost. They weren’t surprising anyone later on in the season and they won’t this year.

He has the most talented team in the Big12 if no one gets injured. Lack of depth will likely get them only 3 wins.

I'd suggest he watch some tape on Ollie Gordon because he will be a front runner for the Heisman, barring injury. In fact, Okie State kinda scares me with most of their team returning. I don't expect TCU to be horrible either. UCF recruited well, and if Fritz gets his players to believe in him at Houston, they could be kinda scary going forward.

I really hate this new rule expected it but hate it. I cannot for the life of me understand why we cannot expect people to stick to a commitment. Personally part of what's wrong with society now imo. Anyway, I get it if a coach leaves or grad transfer or maybe 1st time picked wrong. But crap after that WTF! Can they transfer at semester and play for another team immediately in bball? Coaches like employees will leave for better paying jobs or opportunities I get that. I guess now we just call what we're amateur athletes, employees. They are seriously f'ing up the one sport I truly enjoy watching.

I don't like it either. What coach would sign a player transferring midseason? How or why would/should a coach rely on someone like that?

I am not sure how is trying harder to wreck college football, the NCAA, the SEC/Big10, or ESPN?

in business school i gave a lecture about hiring being all about selection. recruit a d.j. giddens or austin moore - expect the best. bring in a will lee or treshaun ward - expect chaos. culture is a word that's too often misused. but in this case it really does matter as well. guys like klieman and leipold keep their squads together; not so much at colorado or arizona state.

i believe rules have changed more than athletes.

Lou Holtz
@CoachLouHoltz88
What’s the difference between athletes today and 40 years ago?

Today, they all talk about their rights and privileges.

40 years ago, we talked about our duties and responsibilities!
