Re: Farmageddon 2025 in Ireland?
Note to athletic department.... Make sure you keep begging for NIL money from those local business you're stiffing with this deal. Sure, we get an extra $1.5 million for the athletic department, but does that outweigh the losses for your local businesses and potential for pissing off NIL donors? Ma...

I'm celebrating Reggie getting his Heisman. But as an
@NCAA
source reminded me yesterday what he allegedly did 18 years ago would still be against NCAA rules today.

So who decided to give it back to him and why?

Re: Portal 2024
The NIL should never have been permitted in college sports. A college education and a nice stipend should have sufficed. My post, about players wearing jerseys with the name of their employer on the jersey, was made tongue in cheek. But, by golly, it is only right. If the owner of a car dealership ...

Re: NBA Playoffs
Miami's walking wounded beat the Celtics in Boston.
I do not think Miami has the manpower to win this series, but if they get the upset that would be HUGE for The Cavs who at 2-0 are playing like they could get the sweep.

Parker Thune @ParkerThune Just spoke to Dylan Edwards, who tells me he's very thankful for the Colorado staff and fanbase. He simply felt that "it was time for me to go and do my own thing." He's heard from Georgia, Texas A&M, Louisville, Kansas State, UCLA, Washington, Stanford, Nebraska and many ...

Re: The Portal and Will Howard, is he looking for the best opportunity to gain 'NFL status'?
Just from watching him against TCU and a couple of other games last year, put both DJ and Dylan in the huddle together - both can line up in the slot - both can line up as a WR - DJ at 212 can act as a lead blocker (fullback). This might be the best for DJ's NFL future. He might get a paycheck as an...

Re: Kaluma and NBA
Not to be snarky, but Sports is not an education field. It is an extracurricular activity in which, in the interest of competition and gamesmanship, the sponsors of the activity agree to various rules in order that the competitive field can be leveled to make the sport entertaining and to allow all...

Re: Kaluma and NBA
In 2024 if a student athlete does not sign a contract to play a sport they should be able to return and play college athletics.
Sports is the ONLY aspect of our society that does not allow a person to continue with their college career if they are paid for work in their education field.
