Re: Dai Dai Gone!!
We’ve seen this before. Dai Dai , his mom and agent are the bad folks here. Dai Dai’s mom was wrong when she said the coaches couldn’t be trusted. End of discussion.

Re: Dai Dai Gone!!
Isn’t this fun? Wheeee! Let’s not blame the agent yet. How many guards can you bring in before your returning guard(s) begin thinking: “I guess I’m not good enough” Or could it be Dai Dai committed without much of a payday and he knows these new additions have to be getting some good pay in order to...

Re: Portal 2024
The NIL should never have been permitted in college sports. A college education and a nice stipend should have sufficed. My post, about players wearing jerseys with the name of their employer on the jersey, was made tongue in cheek. But, by golly, it is only right. If the owner of a car dealership p...

Re: Portal 2024
I have a novel idea. Those players, who have left a school in order to get a bigger payday at another school, should don a jersey with a dollar sign on the front instead of the school logo. What is better, the player should have the name of the donor emblazoned across his chest. Let’s just be hones...

Re: Portal 2024
I liked supporting the under dog against the blue blood cheaters. What is a blue blood if not they who dared to cheat the system and create monopoly? I’ll take a Dean, Barry, Kam and Xavier winning a championship and whipping Kentucky over a bought championship any day.

Re: Portal 2024
As I argued for years on G&G and on this basketball forum, balance is sanity, imbalance is insanity. College sports are just a symptom of what is going on in this country. Everything must be balanced by controls pure and simple. I don’t care if it’s religion, money, guns, sports, government, speech,...

Well statedtmcats wrote: ↑April 13th, 2024, 9:20 ama lot of this discussion, for me at least, revolves around fairness and class. i believe weber was treated poorly from the get-go but was terminated for good reason. both things can be true. and revisiting history is not wrong until the facts are revised to fit the narrative.

Re: I want Coach Tang to stay. I think the world of him.
I’m quite aware of Weber’s unimpressive over all record at Kansas State. I can make the argument that many good coaches would have not fared much better and some not as well IF they faced the exact same set of circumstances. 1. No recruitment cheating 2. No transfer portal 3. Multiple years of a tr...

Re: I want Coach Tang to stay. I think the world of him.
Weber coached one year with the transfer portal and the transfer portal came within a hair of saving his job. It would have saved his job if Covid had not depleted the team for the first four conference games . When you play by the rules, and you’re recruiting to Kansas State without a transfer por...
