Re: Cussing and berating the portal madness
Honestly, I support K-State athletics because it is K-State athletics. I wouldn't know or care about Deuce Vaughn had he not played at my university, but he did and I now a fan of the young man and will always think fondly of him, cheer for him, and wish him well. It is the athletes on my team that ...

Re: Cussing and berating the portal madness
You have put forth the argument Jay Bilas and the talking heads have made. However, if the tuition, books, housing, stipend, educational opportunities, tutoring, nutrition planning and food, workout facilities and conditioning coaches, athletic trainers, high level coaching, exposure to potential em...

Re: Portal 2024
I thought Dai Dai had landed at TCU, but apparently I was incorrect. I noticed he makes guard #6 for the Cavaliers, include a transfer PG fro Fl State. I'm not sure the reason of being lied to, likely about starting, really holds water compared to the opportunity he has selected which is, also, furt...

Re: other schools' coaching news and stuff ...
I remember thinking Gottlieb was very well known and high profile among young hoop players when e was at ESPN and was campaigning for the KSU job. Since he moved on to FOX I don't think of him as being quite as well known or prominent among potential recruits. Maybe that is just my perception and it...

Re: Kaluma and NBA
Just wondering out loud, but why would Trazarien White be deciding between TCU and Tech? K-State has more winning tradition, good facilities, reportedly solid NIL, and I would choose every day of the week to play for Tang and his staff vs Dixon or McCasland. I sometimes just can't figure out the rec...

Re: Portal 2024
The article said he played point and shooting guard last year at CSF. Sounds like a 6'4" version of the 6'5" CJ Jones. It is looking like a 3 guard type offense with some interchangeable ball handlers and almost all of whom can create for others, assuming he does commit.

Re: Who is to blame for NIL misfires, Tang or the Collective?
I believe we were in the final 3 for Ballo and Omoruyi, and were the runner up for Battle. It would be hard to stop recruiting Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant and just pick up a low mid-major guy who averaged 4 pts per game last year, if you were in the mix for one of the big dogs.

Re: Portal 2024
Shifting gears a little, do you guys think we would still be hunting a C if Colbert hadn't entered the portal or would we be looking a Colbert starting and splitting time with Fall as they both develop?

Re: Portal 2024
There are, obviously, many factors that go into recruiting with kids wanting various combinations of each i.e. playing time, NiL, tourney chances, NBA chances, game improvement, facilities, time on TV, level of competition, life improvement, personal comfort with team and college, coaching styles, e...
